      Welcome to room 64

     Today we will show the importance of literature, mathematics, science, and social studies in our exciting daily learning.  Share with us our incredible journeys through amazing stories.  Let’s compare numbers to the hundred thousand millions, fractions and decimals, equations and function tables, perimeter and area, and lets’ multiply using a box.  Come and learn with us about our magnificent planet Earth.  Learn about habitats, ecosystems, and how living things interact with each other.  Find out about the fascinating history of California: from the settlement of the first Native Americans, their rich traditions and costumes, the relevance of Spanish influence and the construction of the missions to the overall development of California’s   economic and social importance at the present time.  Join us in our creative journeys through poetry, narratives and responses to literature. Third and Fourth Grades can be so much fun!

TANTA INFORMACION, TANTOS CONCEPTOS, TANTO QUE APRENDER, ¡¡¡TAN POQUITO TIEMPO!!! 

Pero no cuando el aprendizaje se relaciona y se integra en ¡todas las áreas académicas!      

         Bienvenidos al salón 64

      Este dia les mostraremos la importancia de la literatura, las matemáticas, los estudios sociales, y  la ciencia.   Ustedes verán todas  esas actividades integradas en nuestro diario aprendizaje.  Vengan y aprendan acerca del increible universo, nuestro interesantisimo  Sistema Solar y los maravillosos planetas que lo forman.  Aprenda con nosotros a localizar nuestra posición en el planeta Tierra, la Via Láctea y el universo. Aprendan sobre  los diferentes ecosystemas y habitats de la Tierra: los desiertos, los bosques, la tundra, el pastizal, las selva tropicales y los ecosistemas acuaticos. Aprenda sus  diferentes caracteristicas de terreno, clima y temperatura; y quien los habita. 

         Le enseñaremos la fascinante historia de nuestra hermosa California, sus accidentes geográficos, las interesantisimas leyendas, costumbres y tradiciones de los primeros pobladores de esta area.   Entre de lleno en la trama de antigüas cautivadoras leyendas indias  creadas para explicar los fenomenos naturales.    Usted verá que además de disfrutar de la lectura y expander el lenguaje, hicimos connecciones entre la literatura  y la ciencia para entender la geologia, la geografia y los ciclos lunares.    Usted verá como cobran vida las diferentes leyendas e historias que hemos leido  para hacer el aprendizaje mas ameno.

        También tendremos la oportunidad de mostrarle como usamos el globo terraqueo para aprender figures geométricas, y visualizar fracciones en matemáticas. 

       Sea parte activa del aprendizaje de su hijo/a enfatizando la importancia de reciclar  y mantener nuestro planeta limpio.
